Someone’s changing her mind without a plan of action
Loosely drawing a line between points A and B
Now she’s hoping to find another new distraction
And I tend to see so much of her in me
Someone’s turning away from everyone around him
Always ready to say he’d rather be alone
Now the truth of his claim is starting to astound him
And I feel part if his world like it’s my own
Some people just can’t help but imitate

In my mind there’s a true sad story for everybody that I’ve ever known
I though I’d find it’s just fiction for glory, that everyone’s happy to be alive

Someone’s losing the fight against their alter ego
Failing, try as they might to walk the borderline
Now they’re holding so tight to what they’d rather see go
And I face their dilemma as if it’s mine, I feel inclined

But choosing who to care about will be the death of me
